In December 2017, three concerts promoting the “Christmas Time” album took place.
During the concerts, the entire repertoire of the new album was presented. Seventeen compositions presenting the richness and diversity of creativity related to the subject of Christmas. In addition to traditional Polish Christmas carols, the most popular Christmas songs, such as “White Christmas”, “Christmas time” or “Happy Christmas” have been performed, in exceptional, atmospheric arrangements by Łukasz Farcinkiewicz, for female choir, string quartet and wind quintet. In particularly, the last song from the album, “Przekażcie sobie znak pokoju” (“Give yourself a sign of peace”), was received by the audience very emotionally.
The concerts took place on December 8 at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Center in Lusławice, on December 16 at the NOSPR Concert Hall in Katowice and on December 30 at the Cathedral Basilica in Tarnów.
Together with the “Puellae Orantes” choir there was a string quartet “Apotheosis” and “Krakowski Kwintet Blaszany”.
During the concert in the Cathedral Basilica, the choir was handed over to the priest – Rev. Prelate Adam Nita – “Fanfary ku czci Piety Tarnowskiej” (“Fanfares in honor of the Tarnow Pieta”), composed by Łukasz Farcinkiewicz.
The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, with the financial support of the Małopolska Voivodship and the budget of the City of Tarnów.
